Local Initiatives for Enhancing Social Cohesion in Rakhine State

The 12-month project aims to enhance social cohesion in Sittwe, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Mrauk U, Lyauktaw and Kyaukphyu townships, Rakhine State. Under Result 1, Acted will target four CSOs with capacity-strengthening training to foster local response capacity to local needs. Under Result 2, Acted - with support of its partner CSOs and Artolution - will implement a range of foundational community-based activities, including children/youth wellbeing activities, interfaith dialogue and gender equality training, recreational activities, community greening projects, establishment of child-friendly space, and rehabilitation of community schemes. A total of 475 individuals from target communities will be engaged.
