May 2024
December 2024

The Anticipatory Action Tool to be developed within the framework of this project will be a dynamic risk model designed to provide information on the risk of flash-flood-induced mudflows in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It will use a risk model based on GIS analysis of flash flood risk, combined with data on population exposure and vulnerability, to identify areas at risk of mudflows and determine which locations need support through a START Anticipatory Alert.
